get2getherlocally CIC was established in 2021 by Nichola Cornes after recognising there was need in the local community for a group for over 45's providing support, information and friendship. 

After lockdown many people's anxiety and social isolation increased. It became easy to get used to not going out. World news and the cost-of-living crisis is often worrying. 

Local activities are a good starting point to getting out and about again. Reducing loneliness & isolation by making friendships, contact with others and finding information to help reduce anxiety.

HILARY'S HUT is named in memory of the friendship Nichola struck with her neighbour Hilary opposite. Hilary's Hut brings this friendship to the whole community.

We are a safe space to keep physically and mentally healthy, providing opportunities to keep busy and find fun and friendship locally.

get2getherlocally is for all over 45's active adults and works in partnership with Residents Associations, Churches, Clubs, Community Groups, local businesses, Councillors and Charities to support each other.

We aim to be a supportive HUT of local activities. We look forward to 'getting2gether' locally with you.

G2GL replies on sponsorship, grants and donations to provide its activities at a FREE (or subsidised rate) to the community.
